New Things

So Camden has started a lot of new things since I last posted. She now has 6 teeth, has started going potty in the big girl potty on occasion and is developing even more of an attitude :) Her new favorite phrase is 'In a minute' and she uses it every time we ask her to do something.

In the last few weeks, she has become very interested in caring for her Cabbage Patch Kid named Barbara. She feeds Barbara, covers her up in a blanket and even puts her to bed at night. Here are some pictures of Camden caring for Barbara.

One of Camden's favorite things to do is to 'write' in her coloring book. She will sit in her highchair forever just scribbling. Look how much fun she is having...

Daddy taught Camden how to dry dishes this week. Here is Camden trying out her new dish drying skills.

Camden really loves playing with Sunny. They have become the best of friends. Sunny is so gentle with Camden. And now that Camden has learned how to throw Sunny's toys and Sunny fetches them, they can entertain each other all day!

Check out these shades...

Playtime and Bathtime

Camden was being silly. She is pretending to ' go night-night' on the rug in the kitchen, using a towel as her pillow :)

She also loves to do everything Sunny does. In this picture she is laying by the door, looking out the window, just like Sunny does.

Camden's hair is really getting long. So now we like to make crazy hair styles while in the bath.

As proof of how long Camden's hair has gotten, here's a picture of her with pigtails!

More Christmas...

Camden opened her persents from Mommy and Daddy and was especially impressed with the Elmo book that she received. She can now correctly identify every Sesame Street character. We don't know what it is about Sesame Street, but Camden loves them...especially Elmo!

Here's a picture of Camden 'reading' her Sesame Street book.
Grandma and Grandpa King got Camden child-sized Dora couch and she absolutely loves it! She sat on the couch and fed raisins to her babies.

She even shared the chouch with her Cousin Emmett.

Camden has discovered playing in the snow and she loes it. So we try to spend some time outside on the not-so-cold days. Her favorite thing to do is to watch Sunny chase snow balls.

Christmas at Grandma Bs House

Camden got to celebrate her first Christmas celebration of the season at Grandma Bs house. We were up there for four days and Camden got spoiled the entire time. She got way too many presents and got to spend plenty of time with the family.

Derek helped Camden sprinkle Reindeer food in the snow on Christmas Eve so that Santa's reindeer could find their way to Grandma's house. Santa did come and brought her some new pajamas.
Camden had fun playing with her new shopping cart that Grandma B and Bruce bought for her.

Camden even got to help Grandma decorate Christmas cookies. I think she ate more frosting and sprinkles than she put on the cookies.

Christmas time

We finally got a chance to decorate the Christmas tree this weekend with the help of Uncle Blair and Aunt Tarryn. Derek and Blair sturng the lights on the tree...

...while Aunt Tarryn showed Camden other uses for Christmas ornaments -- earrings! Camden thought she would try it out too!

And finally we got Camden to pose for one picture in the Santa hat. We found a picture of Camden taken almost exactly one year ago in the same pose. It's fun to see how much she has changed in the past year!

Tree Time!

We took advantage of the 52 degree day today and went to the Christmas Tree farm to find the our tree. Camden had a blast walking around all 14 acres of trees to find the perfect tree. After inspecting several carefully, we decided on just the right tree. Daddy cut it down and we brought it home and set it up.

Here's a picture of Camden showing off her shirt that her Great Aunt Darcy bought for her. It says 'Little Turkey' on it - and that is the truth! Thank you Darcy for the shirt :)

Camden helped Daddy cheer on the Hawkeyes to a victory last night.
