Update on Baby Boy Wilson

Last week we got a call from our doctor with some not-so-good news. They reviewed the results of our first ultrasound and thought they found a defect with the baby's heart - specifically a hole in the septum between the ventricles. They sent us for another ultrasound and a fetal echocardiogram today. Much to our relief, we were told today that the baby's heart is just perfect!
Because we had another ultrasound today, we got some new pictures of our baby boy. The first one is a profile picture of the little guy with his hand in front of his face
Here is a picture of his foot - you can clearly see all 5 toes.

The confirmed for us again that it is definetely a boy. Here's the proof!

Nothing too exciting

Here are a few pictures from the past few weekends. First is a picture of Camden in her Easter dress. She wasn't very excited about posing for a picture in her dress!!

Last weekend we went to Winona, Minnesota to visit one of Derek's friends from college. While we were there we went to the National Eagle Museum. It was a very neat museum! Camden loved seeing the bald eagles so close...until they flapped their wings! And then she didn't want to be anywhere near them!
Here's a picture of the family on a bluff overlooking the city of Winona. It is a beautiful river town!

Camden got an upclose look at the bald eagles at the museum. This eagle's name is Harriett and her picture is on the Minnesota state license plates.
They had an observation deck where you could look for eagles flying over the river. Derek and I spotted a few flying high above. Camden liked looking, but didn't know what she was looking for :)

On our way back we stopped at Lark Toys which is a toy museum/toy store. They had a carousel that the whole family rode. Camden wasn't sure what to think of it at first. But by the end of the ride, she didn't want to get off.

Easter Egg Hunts and Big News!!

We had our 20-week ultrasound yesterday and got confirmation that it's a BOY!!! We were both expecting to have another girl so we were absolutely shocked when the ultrasound tech said that she was sure it's a boy.

Camden enjoyed two Easter Egg hunts today. The first one was at our church and the second was at a neighbor's house. Lucky for us it was 60 degrees and sunny so it was a perfect day to look for eggs. Camden's cousin Emmett came to Ankeny to do the egg hunts with her. They had a lot of fun and got a lot of candy!

Here are Camden and Emmett waiting for the whistle so they can pick up the eggs!

Camden is absolutely terrified of the Easter Bunny. She talks about seeing him all the time, but whenever we get close to him she gets very upset and says she is scared. We did manage to get her to sit on daddy's lap next to the Easter Bunny long enough for a picture...but she definetely wasn't going to take her eyes off of him!
