Birthday Party

Last Saturday we celebrated Camden's 3rd Birthday with a party at Pump It Up. Camden kept telling everyone leading up to the party that she was going to have a party at "the jumpy place". She was so excited for the party.
Here's a group picture of most of the kids that were at the party. There are just a few missing from this picture.
Camden was so brave. She ran right for the inflatibles and never looked back. She did all of them entirely on her own. Here's Camden's older cousin Emmett on the obstacle course.
Camden was right behind him on it.
Kade and his girlfriend Mila had fun jumping in a bounce house.
Our adorable little niece, Ella.
Dena and Maren

After a few hours of jumping we had cupcakes and sang "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl.

Tessa liked the cupcakes :-)

After the party at Pump It Up, we came back to our house with grandmas and grandpa, uncles, aunts and cousins for a birthday supper. This time complete with ice cream cake and presents.
Make a Wish!
Camden is showing how old she is. (We've been working on that for a few weeks now...glad she finally mastered it!)
Camden has been talking about her birthday party since Saturday. I think it's safe to say the birthday party was a success!

Happy 3rd Birthday Camden Grace

It's hard to believe 3 years has passed since we first met our beautiful little girl. And that sweet little four pound baby has turned in to the joy that we have today.
We had a great celebration for this milestone. It started on Saturday with her birthday party. A post will come soon about that event. And today we went to lunch with Mema, Great-Grandpa Wendt and Great-Aunt Sharon. Then we spent the afternoon at the new waterpark in Ankeny. And we finished off the night with an ice cream run. And in between all of that we did some bike riding, playing in the sandbox and lots of other fun things! Camden had a great birthday!!
As I was putting her in bed tonight, she asked with a very sad tone, "Tomorrow, when I wake up, am I going to be two again?" It was the funniest thing! She thought that since her birthday was over, she was going to go back to being two again.
Happy Birthday Miss Camden Grace. We love you very much!

11 Months

I know I'm really late posting Kade's 11-month pictures. We've had a lot going on the past few weeks. So here are the long overdue pics of Kade at 11 months.

He has grown and changed so much over the past month. He is now walking and he also says uh-oh and no. He typically says uh-oh when he is about to do something he knows he isn't supposed to do.

I can't believe we are going to be celebrating a birthday for this little guy in just two weeks. This year has flown by!

Okoboji

We spent 5 days at one of our favorite places in Iowa - Okoboji! Camden loved it this year. She really liked the water, even more this year than last year.
Kade liked the water too. But he kept trying to eat the sand so we had to watch him closely!
Even Daddy enjoyed the water.
Camden was very brave this year and jumped off the dock to Daddy. Over and over! Until Daddy's arms got tired of catching her!

On Saturday we drove from Okoboji to Sioux Falls for a Wilson family reunion. We took a family picture at Falls Park which is a gorgeous park in Sioux Falls. Because we had such beautiful scenery, we got a lot of great family pictures. Here's Camden with her second cousin Carter.

Grandpa Ken and Deb with all three grandchildren.
Unlce Blair, Aunt Tarryn and sweet little baby Reagan.

Left to Right - Reagan, Kade, Camden, Dylan and Carter
Dylan and Kade looking at each other. Can you believe these two boys are only a day and a half apart in age? Dylan is 36 hours older than Kade.
We even managed to squeeze in a quick birthday celebration for Camden with Grandpa Ken and Deb. Complete with cupcakes and presents!

And of course I got to spend some quality time with my newest niece, Reagan. She is now 11 weeks old and cute as can be. She was full of smiles for her auntie!
I could just hold this sweet little thing all day!
Take a good look at her shirt. It says, "My Aunt is my BFF". And I'd like to make it known that I am her only aunt, so it obviously referencing me!
Auntie Tarryn and Kade even dressed alike on their final day.

We also squeezed in a trip to Arnold's Park while we were in Okoboji. Camden and Grandma rode the train together...

...and the carousel
While Mommy and Kade rode the carousel. This was Kade's first time on one. He thought it was great!
He didn't stop laughing until the ride ended.
Camden rode it a second time with Daddy.
Our final night there was an interesting one. Around 10:15pm we heard the tornado sirens going off. Shortly after someone came by our cabin and said we needed to take cover. They directed us to a unit made of concrete block. We had to get the kids out of bed and drag them over there. We stayed for about an hour and a half until the storm passed. The sight when we came out was an appaling one. Here are the pictures I took on the beach the following morning. Just feet from the shelter we were in. Thankfully everyone was alright!
All in all it was a great vacation!
