Okoboji

A few weekends ago Camden and I went to Okoboji for a few days with the Blessingtons. Derek was on Charlotte earlier that week and didn't want to take time off for Okoboji. So Camden and I decided that wasn't going to keep us home.

Our first day there, we spent the afternoon playing mini golf. This was Cam's first time playing and she loves it. She still has some learning to do, but had fun trying.






We went to Bridges Bay waterpark for the morning the next day. We love that place!






Of course it wouldn't be a trip to Okoboji without spending some time on the beach. The water was high so we had a hard time finding a beach that was open. But we found one!






Grandma B, Uncle Beek, Aunt Tarryn and Reagan met us for supper one night. After supper we went to Arnold Park and rode the rides.

Cam really wanted to ride the ferris wheel. I didn't think she would like it, but she did!







She was brave and rode all the kiddie rides by herself!







We were very sad to leave Okoboji! We love it there!

House update - almost done!!

I am a really behind on updating the blog, but it is because we have been so busy!

The house has made great progress since the last posting. In fact, we are only about a week from moving day! And we are so excited!!

Here's a peek at the kitchen with some if the cabinets installed.


The mantle and bookcases are in. The stone will go on this week as well as the cabinet doors.


We had an unexpected expense come up with a need for retaining walls. While it wasn't in the initial plan, we love how it turned out.


And this is the kids' favorite thing about the new house. Daddy built them a playset!
