We miss Daddy!

Daddy had been gone since before the sun came up on Saturday morning.  He went to Texas with Grandpa and Uncle Jeremy for a man's vacation.  They have spent the last 5 days fishing for bass and hunting wild boars.  And while they've been off having fun, we have been having fun back here.

We have had some gorgeous weather so we spent most of the weekend outside enjoying it.  Saturday we played in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.  Camden made the most beautiful flower arrangement for Grandma ;-)

They spent some time jumping on Grandma and Grandpa's trampoline.
And in the evening, we went over to Emmett and Ella's house to meet the 7 new additions to the King family - their tiny little chicks that were just one day old!

Camden, Emmett and Ella loved the chicks.  Kade, well, he tried to bite the chick!  We had to teach him how to gently pet the chicks.
Sunday was another day filled with adventure.  We started the morning by heading in to Des Moines to let the kids play at Pump It Up - or 'the jumpy place' as Camden calls it.
The kids had so much fun running from one inflatable to the next.  All of us were exhausted by the time we left there! Thank goodness Grandma was there to help us, because there was no way I could keep track of both of them!

But there was no rest for us.  We stopped for lunch at a Mexican restaurant then off to the park for some more playing!
Ella didn't get to play at the park with us - she was too worn out!

After the park, we stopped for ice cream before heading home.  Poor Kade passed out in the car on the way home - ice cream on his face and everything.  I'd say the day was a success!
After a fun-filled weekend we returned to real life.  Daycare has been difficult this week - the kids are off their routine and are missing their Daddy.  This has translated to tears at daycare drop off.  And when my kids cry, I cry.  So the last three days have been a little rough, but we've made the best of it.

Monday night, Chantal came over for supper.  The kids love it when Chantal comes to visit.  Tuesday Grandma came in to stay with us.  And tonight, we met Grandma, Aunt Jacki, Emmett and Ella at McDonalds for supper and the kids played in the Play Place.  All very exciting through the eyes of a 3 and 1 year old.

But we are more than ready for Daddy to come home tomorrow!  We miss him!

Looks like all had a good time. All worn out. Love the flowers. Camden is so talented. Cute little ones, all looked to be having a swell time.
