Introducing: Joy

Meet Joy. She is our Elf on the Shelf. She has been our houseguest since the day after Thanksgiving. And she is going to stay with us through Christmas Eve.
The concept of the Elf on the Shelf is that it stays at your house during the day and watches to see if the kids have been good or bad. Then it fies to the North Pole each night and reports back to Santa. Each morning when you wake up, you have to find where the elf has chosen as it's place to watch over you for the day. The first thing you are supposed to do when you get your elf is to name it. Camden decided ours was a girl elf and she named her Joy. It is a very fitting name for a Christmas elf!

Joy has found some interesting places to hide each morning. She has been on the Christmas Tree, the ceiling fan, the mantle, the cupboards, the curtains...all sorts of interesting places. A few times, Joy chose the same place to hide two nights in a row. She must have really liked that spot!

Joy even managed to find us at Grandma's house this morning. When you ask Camden how Joy found us at Grandma's house, she tells you it's "Christmas Magic." It's so great to experience the wonderment of the season through the eyes of a child.

Beautiful pictures. Love the pj's. Grandma Bonnie is looking like she is having a great time. I am so glad she gets time with the kids, when she is so far away. Great memories.
